Ephemeral Stands
Objetive
Design and build floats and stands for the Feria de Cali that are functional, visually impactful, and carry a strong sustainability message — integrating recycled materials and engaging visitors directly with the concept.
Process
We began by listening closely to the client’s requirements, particularly regarding capacity and mobility (whether for static stands or mobile floats). Initial sketches balanced functionality with concept clarity, focusing on sustainability. The structure was designed using plastic wood made from recycled bottles and caps, which reinforced the environmental theme while offering a modern aesthetic. Visitors could also interact with the stand by depositing plastic bottles and caps, connecting them directly to the purpose.
We developed precise 3D models to define proportions, materials, and construction details, serving as a reliable guide that bridged the gap between concept and execution — improving efficiency and accuracy during production.
Result + Impact
The final stands and floats successfully embodied the sustainability message while remaining functional and striking. The participatory element encouraged visitor engagement, making the experience more memorable. The use of recycled materials and clear 3D planning ensured the design was both environmentally conscious and technically sound, contributing to the event’s impact and the client’s goals.
