Mango Oud: Product Launch Animation
Objective
Create a high-impact, visually refined animation to launch The Lab Perfumes’ new fragrance — inspired by tropical mango and oud wood — as the central piece of their social media campaign. The goal was to evoke an exotic, natural, elegant, and fresh atmosphere that aligned with the scent’s unique identity.
Process
The project unfolded over three well-defined phases: preproduction, production, and postproduction. In the preproduction stage, I developed a detailed storyboard to organize the visual narrative and ensure the piece captured the essence of the fragrance and the brand’s elegance. During production, I designed a sophisticated natural environment with tropical elements like mangoes, wood textures, and floating particles, combining them into a clean, immersive scene with subtle motion and controlled lighting. Finally, in postproduction, I applied fine-tuned color correction, sound integration, and precise editing to deliver a polished, atmospheric piece. The full animation lasted 32 seconds and was produced in approximately one month using Maya, Blender, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Octane Render, Premiere, and DaVinci Resolve.

The final animation presented the product floating in a lush, controlled natural setting, highlighted by subtle camera movements and an enveloping composition that embodied the fragrance’s exotic and refined character. Released as the centerpiece of the launch campaign on social media, the video was adapted into multiple formats for stories, reels, and promotional banners. It achieved remarkable reach and engagement from day one, directly boosting sales and strengthening the brand’s visual identity by visually translating the olfactory concept of the perfume. This high-level audiovisual production allowed The Lab Perfumes to stand out from competitors, create an emotional connection with its audience, and position the product powerfully from the very first impression.
