Kiut: 3D Product Launch
Objective
Kiut needed a 3D animation to complement the 2D video for the launch of its new 16-color box. This edition featured two innovative elements: a notebook-style opening system with rear velcro and a refreshed visual design with metallic colors. The goal was to highlight both the functionality of the new mechanism and the updated aesthetics of the product in a 25–36 second animation.
Process
Although no formal sketches were provided, the client shared reference images to ensure fidelity to the physical product.
The project was developed using Maya, Blender, Substance Painter, and Octane Render, combining tools to achieve a high level of detail and realism.
The main focus was to build a clear, functional, and visually appealing animation that showcased the opening mechanism and the distinctive design features.
Results + Impact
We created a 30-second 3D animation for the launch of Kiut’s new 16-color box, highlighting its notebook-style opening system, refreshed metallic design, and vibrant graphics. Using Maya, Blender, Substance Painter, and Octane Render, we delivered a realistic and visually appealing piece that became a key tool for private presentations and B2B sales, effectively showcasing the product’s innovative features to client executives.
