Fiesta de mi pueblo
Objective
For its third and fourth editions, “La Fiesta de mi Pueblo: Lo que Somos” sought to celebrate and elevate the cultural identity of Valle del Cauca through a vibrant, symbolic visual universe. The goal was to translate the spirit of this traveling parade into tangible design elements that captured both the emotional and geographical richness of the region, from the coffee plantations and green mountains to the Pacific coastlines and natural water sources.
Process
In 2023, purple was chosen as the central color, giving rise to a visual identity full of festivity and emotional connection. Thanks to the event's strong reception, the 2024 edition expanded in scope with yellow as its leading color, symbolizing cultural wealth and diversity.
Okto developed the entire branding system for both editions, including POP materials (hats, shirts, fans, towels, thermoses), public-facing graphic assets (banners, staircase branding, stand designs), and digital animations to bring the concept to life. Each float design was inspired by one of the 42 municipalities in Valle del Cauca, turning cultural heritage into visual storytelling.
Result & impact
The event branding helped solidify "La Fiesta de mi Pueblo" as a yearly cultural milestone in Cali. Our designs created a visual ecosystem that resonated with locals and visitors alike, transforming the parade into a traveling identity celebration. The 2024 edition saw a broader creative reach, with Okto’s work contributing to a deeper emotional connection between the audience and the territory through vibrant graphics and cohesive visual production.
